“Sonic Histories” with DJ Rochelle Kwan (4/29)
We had a wonderful time at our final Art + Mental Health Workshop of the spring, “Sonic Histories: Living Room Stories with Chinatown Records,” with DJ historian Rochelle H. Kwan (yiuyiu 瑶瑶)! Rochelle spoke about her journey in preserving and sharing stories through music and oral history with Chinatown Records and how songs and sound can help us connect with our emotions, memories, and the people in our lives. We then spent time sharing and listening to songs, enjoying snacks, and relaxing and reflecting together in community. Many thanks to Rochelle for such a fun, meaningful workshop, and to everyone who joined us!
