Make Zines, Feel Seen! Art + Mental Health Workshop

March 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Free

Make Zines, Feel Seen! is part of a series of workshops that focus on art-making and mental health, sponsored by QCAP (the Queens College AANAPISI Project)

Have something to say to the world? Of course you do! But you might not know where to start. Maybe you’re afraid of putting something clumsy or incomplete out there. Maybe you don’t feel like you’ve got the skills to make something nice. Maybe you’re not sure where exactly this story might fit.

If so, you should make a zine! Zines are fun, easy to make and share, and a wonderful, low-stress entry into self-authorship. You can make them about anything, share with anyone, and all with materials you probably already have.

Join QCAP on Wednesday, March 4, from 12:00-1:30pm, in the Muyskens Conference Room at The Summit (see campus map) for an easygoing workshop with artist/illustrator/educator John Lee on how to make your own zine and tell your own story! RSVP here.

No prior experience or skills required, and all Queens College students are welcome! Materials will be provided for this workshop, and snacks too!

Note: QCAP is mask-friendly—masks are encouraged, because we want to keep our communities as safe and healthy as possible, but they are not required.
