QCAP Faculty Workshops

The Queens College AANAPISI Project (QCAP) invites applications for our 2025 summer faculty development workshops, which are scheduled for August 7, 8, and 14. The first two sessions will be in person at Queens College from 9am–3pm and the final session will be virtual on Zoom from 9:30am–12:30pm.

The QCAP Faculty Workshops are designed to support Queens College faculty in teaching QC’s diverse Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) students, in understanding local AAPI histories and issues, and in developing and implementing Asian American studies course content and pedagogies. These workshops will be facilitated by CUNY experts in Asian American studies.

The QCAP Faculty Workshops are open to ALL Queens College faculty across all disciplines and fields. We especially encourage part-time/contingent faculty to apply. QC faculty who complete all 3 workshop sessions, complete assigned readings and tasks, and submit a post-workshop reflection will receive $1,600. (Full-time faculty will be paid summer salary via RFCUNY, and part-time faculty will be hired through RFCUNY as part-time instructors in order to receive payment.)

(Note: At this time, faculty who have already participated in previous QCAP Faculty Workshops are not eligible to reapply.)

Please apply here via this Google Form by April 30, 2025. Applicants will be notified by the end of May. If you have any questions, please email the QCAP Team at [email protected].
