[NOTICE] Regarding U.S. Department of Education’s Decision on MSI Funding

QCAP has unfortunately been impacted by the recent decision to terminate the U.S. Department of Education grant that funds projects like ours. This was part of a larger move by the federal government to eliminate funding for Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) like QC and CUNY. For more information and context, please see the sources linked below.

This is awful news, but we at QCAP are determined to continue our important work with our incredible students. For now, our Fall 2025 programming will continue as planned, and we will keep the campus community updated as we know more.

We are especially thankful for the QCAP Team, including our QCAP Student Assistants and QCAP Multilingual Tutors, and all the students, faculty, and staff who have participated in and supported our wonderful programs and helped QCAP flourish over the past few years. We are hopeful we can continue to grow QCAP in the years to come, and in the meantime we are even more motivated to make this our best semester yet! Can’t wait to connect with you at one of our upcoming events and/or in our QCAP Community Space in Powdermaker 251.

In solidarity,

Dr. Caroline K. Hong, QCAP Director and Lead PI
Dr. Amy Wan, QCAP Co-Director and Co-PI
Dr. Soniya Munshi, QCAP Co-Director
Ray Liu, QCAP Program Coordinator
